| In Alchemy, there are two special Runes: a gray block and a skull with cross bones. The gray block is a wild piece; it can be placed adjacent to any Rune, regardless of shape or color. Use this piece wisely, because the gray block can help you either start or remove a column or row. The skull with cross bones will remove any placed Rune on the board, so it frees you up when you hit those trouble spots on the board.
These two special Runes appear randomly throughout the game. As you clear more boards to go to higher rounds, these Runes will appear less frequently, so use them very carefully! | |
